Critical Home Repair Program (CHRP)

Habitat for Humanity of Summit & Wasatch Counties is known for building affordable homes. Did you know we also help families maintain safe and healthy homes through our Critical Home Repair Program (CHRP)?

CHRP can address many needs, such as

• Leaking roof.
• Broken and missing windows.
• Leaking plumbing

How CHRP Works

Our CHRP team performs a home inspection to identify critical repair needs and ensure that people with impaired mobility can safely enter and move about their homes. We take care of all the details and work with experienced contractors who perform high-quality work in a timely manner.

There is no upfront cost! Qualifying applicants may receive a grant up to $18,000 toward the project cost. We are able to provide this program with funding from the State of Utah and other generous supporters.

CHRP is not an emergency repair program. Projects must be planned and take several months to complete.

If you are a U.S. citizen or legal resident who owns a home on a foundation in Summit or Wasatch Counties, please contact us to see if you are eligible to apply. Certain restrictions apply; eligibility does not guarantee approval.
