Turn this Valentine’s Day extra lovely by spreading hope and help throughout your community! Read on for five easy ways to support local working families and build a stronger, safer community we can all love.

Valentine Volunteering Ideas

Volunteer at our events.

There are several other ways to volunteer with Habitat. You can help with one of the many fun events we host each year by joining a committee to share your skills (and learn new ones!) in event logistics, fundraising efforts, marketing, and administrative tasks. Right now, we are recruiting for Overall Ball committees, and we would love to have you! Volunteering is also a great way to make friends and get to know more people in your community.

Organize a donation drive.

Do you know why the Park City ReStore has some of the most amazing deals on furniture, building materials, home decor, and more in Summit and Wasatch counties? It’s because of high-quality donations from generous people like you. Organize a donation drive and encourage friends and neighbors to declutter their homes to support ReStore.

Sign up for deconstruction.

Are you or someone you know remodeling or renovating? Make plans to deconstruct your “before” decor before adding the new. By carefully disassembling rooms or buildings, and donating the contents to the ReStore, salvageable items like cabinets, countertops and fixtures can be sold and used again, helping multiple families

Volunteer at Park City ReStore.

Each trip to the ReStore shows you what an incredible treasure trove it is. Sign up to help out with tasks like customer service, accepting and processing donations, or organizing the sales floor. You’ll get a first-hand view of all the impressive donations that come in, you’ll meet friendly locals, and you’ll get to work with a great team.

Spread the word.

Share our social media posts on Facebook and Instagram or your experiences with Habitat for Humanity and ReStore to spread the word about our important work. By telling other people why you love us, you help us broaden our efforts and reach more people.

Why Partner with Habitat for Humanity

A simple act of Valentine’s Day volunteering will make a meaningful difference. Affordable housing changes lives by giving people a safe, stable home in which to raise families, work, and thrive. By donating your time, belongings, or money to Habitat, you support our efforts to make our communities better for all of us. Stable housing is the key to profound, lasting change for many families, who then in turn can contribute to improving their communities.
